A set of two types of beep. A singular beep, and then a double-note beep. Either one could be used on their own, or they can be combined to create abnormal patterns. These beeps can be used for various electronic items like alarms, transmission equipment, or hospital equipment. Created through beepbox, using the preset chiptune sample instrument.

Dark and powerful sound of a vintage, beast of a power amplifier, switching on. This is an older recording i had lying around, fades out at the end. Could for example be used as a sound effect for a title screen, or turning on a big piece of equipment.

This is the sound-signature of many of the problems with digital audio equipment, a source sound of now-unidentifiable character was mangled using a selection of iterative granular resampling, timestretching and recombination techniques, almost all of which produce noisy artefacts, intermodulation artefacts and a particuarly weird sort of very noisy geomtetric comb filtering.

Something went wrong with the audio! first i was going to record the sound of the wind. I placed the equipment, checked the audio and left. As i came back i realized that the audio file is full of interference!first i was quite angry about it, but then i thought that it is a pretty good sound effect!.

This recording was made in the afternoon during a rainshower under my carport in louisiana. The rain is striking three different surfaces in this track: cement, roofing and plantlife. Now, i'm no pro, nor is my equipment (olympus ws-310m w/ built in mic), so discerning these different sounds is difficult. You can hear the dripping from rain: fast drip in the background of this track. However slight, there is also a noticeable electronic note which is simultaneous with the water striking these surfaces. You can also hear slight rustling sounds that could be wind or my shirt moving near the mic (i was wearing the device on a lanyard). The file is wav, recorded in stereo at 16 bit at 44. 1mhz.

Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it. One of my favorite summer and late-summer sounds. The night-hawk is the star of this recording. This recording was made around 9pm at night in mid-august and, even though i never could see this nighthawk, his calls pierced through the night-sky to let me know he was up there, somewhere, orbiting on the prowl for mosquitos and other insects. I have always loved this sound ever since i was a kid and going to sleep at night i felt comforted knowing that, like some circling fighter jet, the nighthawks would be on the job, plowing down the population of mosquitos, while i slept all night. Recording actually made in the parking lot of a major midwest university around 9pm at night on august 19th, 2014. Equipment: marantz pmd661 modified by oade brothers electronics, beyerdynamic me58 microphone. My record volume was 7.
